9 Cate Blanchett’s in I’m Not There (2006)

Cate Blanchett is one of those actresses who can do almost any role. In the 2007 biopic, I’m Not There, she plays the role of Jude Quinn, who is Bob Dylan’s personification. The film features six actors playing Bob Dylan, including Christian Bale as well as Heath Ledger. Each portrays a different aspect of the legendary singer.

Blanchett’s look has been completely transformed, from head to toe. She is no longer the elegant Blanchett she was, but a young star in the 60s. Todd Haynes, the director, insisted that Blanchett wear a suit similar to the one Dylan wore in 1965. It’s difficult to imagine anyone else performing such a compelling and unreal performance. She won the Oscar for Best Actress in Supporting Role. It was a win-win situation.
