He also dated Brooke Shields. Santa Monica High School was where Cain showed his first baseball skills. Charlie Sheen was his teammate, and Rob Lowe was his coach. He was a free safety player when he arrived at Princeton and, in 1987, he set a national record of interceptions. Dean Cain began screenwriting after sustaining a knee injury. 

Cain has never married. Cain is proud to be a single father to Christopher, a 14-year-old boy. He also explained that he is a regular cook for his child,  “I cook every meal for my child. If I don’t cook, he doesn’t eat”. He said that his son is his favorite person on earth. How sweet!
