Johnson began acting at the age of six. Johnson was 6 years old when she began acting. She played the role of ‘Christine Ellen “Chrissy”,’ in the main cast of ‘ABC’ sitcom, ‘Growing Pains. She appeared in 47 episodes from 1990 to 1992.

In all 22 episodes of the American sitcom “Phenom”, she played the role of Mary Margaret Doolan. The series aired on ABC for a season from September 14, 1993, to May 10, 1994.

She played the same character in 2003’s direct-to-video animated films Recess: All Grown Down and Recess: Taking the Fifth Grade’. In 2006, she also played the same part in the animated TV series Lilo & Stitch: The Series.
