Favorite Quotes From George Takei

People often forget that stereotypes don’t necessarily make you bad, because they are false. Stereotypes can be harmful, because they may not always be true. If we judge someone based on stereotypes, it is allowing a gross generalization of our thinking to take over.

Comedy is where comedy really shines. It is easier to find that gasp in a drama. But it’s difficult because you still need that emotional pitch. It is so satisfying to perform drama and get that sigh from the audience. As a comedian, however, it can be very frustrating when the laugh doesn’t come. It’s horrible and makes you feel like you’re dead.
