Beacham set out to teach deaf children to dance moves. After a successful modeling career, she began to act on television. She was first seen in 1967 on the BBC’s ‘The Queen’s Traitor’.

She continued to appear in films, on television, and on stage. Beacham was a member of the ensemble cast of BBC’s ‘Tenko’, a BBC series about women held captive by the Japanese following their invasion of Singapore in 1942.

She returned to the UK in 2003 to reprise her role as Bad Girls. She was with the series until the very end, in 2006. She was part of the Sense-National Deafblind Fill in the Gaps campaign and the Rubella Association Fill in the Gaps campaign.

Beacham appeared on BBC Radio 2’s Graham Norton Show in 2016. She spoke about her role as Princess Margaret. The Cambridge Arts Theatre premiered Richard Stirling’s play A Princess Undone.
