8 Life before Storage Wars

Mary attended university and received a degree as a photojournalist. After her studies were completed, she interned at D Magazine. There she discovered her artistic side. She was able to dig through old junk and learn how to appraise and sell vintage items. After that, she was offered a position as an Assistant Editor at Architectural Digest in New York City.

Mary wasn’t a fan of big-city life and misses her rural Texas roots. In 2010, she returned to Texas, where she started her entrepreneurial career with her store. Moe Prigoff was a mentor to her on storage unit auctions. Moe helped her get started in Storage Wars as she was already a member of the organization. Moe was already a part of Storage Wars and helped her get in the door.
