She attended Cedar Hill Elementary School and Oak Street School, which was then a junior high school. Meryl described herself as a seven-year-old who looked and acted like a 40-year-old at the time. “The children thought I was one of their teachers.”

Her parents were able to move to Basking Ridge, then to Bernardsville, which is a wealthier community in central New Jersey. From an early age, they taught their children literature and arts. Meryl was raised alongside her younger brothers Harry III (whom she’s always called Third) & Dana. Both her brothers are actors. Before Meryl discovered her acting skills, she was a talented singer.
