Cody Daniel Johnson was born in East Texas on 21 May 1987.

Danny Salinas joined The Band in 2009 as a bass guitarist. They also produced the album Six Strings One Dream. The band also added Jeff Smith to the lineup on lead guitar and Chris Whitten to the fiddle after the album was released.

His next album, “A Different Day,” was released in 2011. He was named Texas Regional Music Award’s New Male Vocalist. The next year, he joined Kyle Park on the Dancin’ & Drinkin’ at Johnson Park Tour.

Johnson’s fifth album “Cowboy Like Me” was released in 2014. Trent Willmon produced the album. It was released at number 25 and 33 on Billboard Top Country Albums charts, selling over 8,000 copies in its first week.
