Three Life Lessons from David Robinson

We now know more about David Robinson’s net worth and his success story. Let’s look at some lessons we can take from him.

1. Not everyone will like you

It doesn’t matter if everybody likes you. It’s impossible to please everyone, and sometimes a steady truce can be all you need. It’s impossible to be friends with everyone. Do not try to be.

2. Your work may not be liked by everyone

Every person has a different taste. You can make your clients happy, and less worried about their reaction to your work.

3. Don’t worry about being perfect

It would be easy to spend your entire day striving for perfection. Problem is, in reality, there is nothing perfect. While you may be able to get something close, there are always things that you can do differently. Or what you would change if you could.

“You will always face criticism and you’ll always face challenges. But those things are there for you to strengthen you and make you more committed.”

“I need to have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. These two qualities validate me. It’s important to me that I have high numbers and that I am well-respected as an athlete. It’s also important to me that I am respected as a man.

Dream big. At least you’ll have the pleasure of reaching for the stars, instead of living in a box full of unopened presents.
