Early Life

Nicholas D. Miller was born in Chicago on 26th December 1990.

He also overdosed on heroin that year. This was something he shared in 2018 with his fans. This was the inspiration for his 2018 hit, “Take You Down.”

He released several singles in 2015, including Chosen You’, ‘Painted White’, and ‘I’ll Be Your Reason’.

Illenium’s song “Fractures” was released in February 2017 with Nevve. In March 2017, he followed that up with the collaboration single, “Feel Good”, featuring Gryffin and Daya.

Three collaborations by Illenium were released in the following year: “Don’t Give up on Me” with Kill the Noise, Mako, and “Gold (Stupid Love”) with Excision, Shallows, and “God Damnit” with Call Me Karizma at 33.

Favorite Quotes From Illenium

People are very low on enthusiasm and low on hope. These songs are meant to help people get over the pain and suffering they have endured in the last few years or decades. I hope my music will inspire people and give them an outlet.

My mom stayed home to raise our family while my dad worked hard in finance to make sure we all had enough. They were so supportive of my choice to pursue music. They encouraged me to continue even though I wasn’t seeing any success when I started out. My family has supported me through the darkest days and I wouldn’t be here today without them.
