Introduction

Shyne is a Belizean rapper. He was born in Belize and moved to New York when he was a kid to start rapping.

He is most famous for his singles Bad Boyz and Bonnie & Shyne. Shyne performed on many multi-platinum albums like ‘Confessions’, Carter IV’ and ’Born Again’.

Early Life

Moses Michael Levi Barrow, a Belize City native, was born on 8th November 1978.

Barrow is the child of Frances Imeon Myvette and Dean Barrow. Barrow split his time between Brooklyn with his mother and in Belize with his father, a politician who was elected Prime Minister of Belize in 2008.

When he was three years of age, his mother moved to the U.S. He was left with his father in Belize.

Career

Three people were injured and police arrested the Bad Boys fleeing Bad Boys with a variety of crimes including attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and criminal use of firearms.

Puffy was cleared of all charges the following year. Shyne was convicted of two counts of assault and reckless endangerment and gun possession.

This scandal helped to generate interest in Shyne’s 2000 self-titled album, which reached No. 5. on Billboard’s Album Chart.

Four years later, Def Jam Records announced that he had been signed to a multimillion-dollar contract. A new album was then released.

His album, “Godfather Buried Alive”, was released months later in 2004. It was not a major hit and received a poor critical response.
